How it all started
InfluenceLogic began with a simple belief shared by co-founders Joel Robinson and Steve Messa: that creators were building the next great entrepreneurial economy, and the infrastructure to support them barely existed.
Back in 2014, their first idea was a live video commerce platform. They envisioned influencers hosting shoppable video experiences that educated, entertained, and connected people to brands. They teamed up with early supporters TK Kuegler and Chris Yeh at Wasabi Ventures and built the product, attracting more than 30,000 monthly visitors.
But as they grew, Joel and Steve realized something important: the future they imagined was already happening on YouTube.
Creators were building real businesses. Audiences were shifting their attention and trust. And rather than competing with YouTube, the founders decided to build within the ecosystem that was already transforming global media.

Creators as entrepreneurs
In 2015, the shift became personal. An intern, Trinh Pham, joined the team with 30,000 YouTube subscribers. Within months, her audience skyrocketed into the hundreds of thousands, and eventually into the millions.

Seeing Trinh's growth firsthand made a lasting impression. Creators weren't "influencers" chasing virality. They were entrepreneurs building meaningful, scalable businesses.
Joel and Steve realized these creators needed tools, guidance, and partnership support, and brands needed a way to work with creators effectively without wasting budget or time.
This insight led to the first version of InfluenceLogic in early 2016: software designed to help brands launch and measure influencer campaigns. The tool attracted 20+ enterprise customers, from major consumer brands to global nonprofits. But the same pattern kept emerging in every conversation:
"The tech is great… but how do we actually do influencer marketing well?"
"There are thousands of creators. Why don't you just manage this for us?"
The industry didn't just need software. It needed a partner.
A new model for creator partnerships
InfluenceLogic pivoted again, from a software vendor to a tech-enabled services partner that combines data, systems, and human relationship-building at scale. The team stopped selling software and instead used their platform internally to:
- Discover and support high-potential creators
- Build long-term, trust-based relationships
- Deliver performance-driven creator programs for industry-leading brands
This hybrid model, internal access with external scale, became the foundation of InfluenceLogic's reputation and is now a blueprint used across the creator economy.

Where we are today
A decade later, InfluenceLogic has grown into a 30+ person team supporting more than 10,000 creators across YouTube, podcasts, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and emerging channels. The company now powers some of the most sophisticated creator programs in the world, partnering with brands that share a belief in the power of authentic storytelling and measurable outcomes.

Our mission remains the same as day one: help creators earn a living doing work that matters, and help brands grow through partnerships rooted in trust, creativity, and transparency.
Joel, Steve, and the entire InfluenceLogic team are grateful for every creator, every brand partner, every agency, and every representation team that has been part of this journey.
